Deciding which Facial Treatment you may need, can be a difficult decision, especially, if you have never had a professional facial service before.

A basic facial is always a great choice; you cannot go wrong with the deep cleansing, instant hydration, and, of course, an ultimate pampering experience. The facial massage, alone, will trump any doubts you may have about spending the little bit of extra money. And, looking fabulous is always a good thing.

If you have a special event coming up or if you have decided that it is time to do something about your skin imperfections, consider a Chemical Peel or a Microdermabrasion.

A Chemical Peel is intended to give a slight injury to your skin which forces your body to do the job that it is intended to do. As we age, our bodies become slow in healing itself and sometimes it needs a little kick to get things started. A mild Chemical Peel, typically a Glycolic Acid, will gently remove the top layer of dead skin cells from your face which triggers the body to produce new skin cells. Glycolic Acid is found in almost every anti-aging product so you most likely have already been exposed to this acid so do not fear. There is no down-time with a mild peel, just glowing skin. Your only job after a peel is to wear sunscreen and look fabulous!

Microdermabrasion is another alternative for safe and gentle exfoliation of the facial skin. Typically this treatment is performed with a machine to blow crystals out of a wand and is then vacuumed off. It essentially does the same thing as a Chemical Peel just with a different medium. Microdermabrasion is the best form of exfoliation for darker skin types.

As the body ages, our metabolism slows down, which in turn slows the blood flow down. Blood feeds our skin the nourishment and oxygen it needs to remain youthful. Without the blood, nutrients, and oxygen being fed to the skin, it begins to thin and then sag. Removing the top layer of dead skin cells keeps the blood flowing resulting in a younger more vibrant complexion.
